What Coach Mo is

Coach Mo is your AI fitness companion inside MoveTogether. It gives you personalized motivation, competition strategy, workout suggestions, goal-setting guidance, and answers to your fitness questions, all in a conversational chat. Coach Mo learns from your activity patterns, remembers your preferences, and adapts its coaching style to what works for you.

Choosing your coaching persona

Coach Mo has five distinct coaching personas. Each one brings a different style of motivation and communication (Pro plan only):
PersonaStyle
DefaultBalanced, friendly, and supportive.
Drill SergeantTough love and no excuses. For when you need a push.
Hype ManPure energy. Every win is a celebration.
Big SiblingWarm and caring. Gentle accountability.
Sports AnalystData-driven and strategic. Focused on the numbers.
Change your persona anytime in your Coach Mo settings. Your chosen persona affects every Coach Mo interaction, including notifications and weekly reports.

Getting started with Coach Mo

The first time you open Coach Mo, you’ll go through a short onboarding flow that collects your coaching preferences. This helps Coach Mo understand your goals and communication style from the start. After that, type your question or tell Coach Mo what you’re working on. Coach Mo shows up as an animated orb character with expressive accessories that change based on context. Aviators when it’s being cool, a megaphone when hyping you up, reading glasses when analyzing data, and more.

What Coach Mo can help with

  • Personalized workout recommendations
  • Competition strategy and analysis
  • Daily motivation and accountability
  • General fitness and wellness questions
  • Goal setting and tracking
  • Win celebrations and milestone acknowledgments
  • Gentle nudges when you’ve been less active than usual

Follow-up suggestions

After each response, Coach Mo suggests follow-up topics as tappable chips beneath its message. Makes it easy to continue the conversation without typing, and the suggestions are tailored to what you just discussed.

Activity trace

Coach Mo shows its thinking through an activity trace, a timeline showing what data it looked up (your competition stats, activity history, achievements) before forming its response. Helps you understand how Coach Mo arrives at its recommendations.

Conversations

Every conversation with Coach Mo is saved. Browse your history in the conversations drawer, pick up where you left off, or start a new topic anytime.

Memory and Files

Coach Mo has a long-term memory system called Files. It remembers important details about your fitness journey, goals, preferences, and past conversations. View, edit, and organize these memories in the Files section of Coach Mo. Memories are organized into folders and documents you can search, add to, or remove.

Your weekly Coach Mo allowance

Every plan includes a weekly allowance for Coach Mo. The allowance resets every 7 days, anchored to when you created your account. Voice and chat share the same allowance. There isn’t a separate budget for each. They both pull from one weekly bucket. What uses more of your allowance:
  • Voice conversations use more than text messages.
  • Longer, more detailed answers use more than short ones.
  • Complex questions that need Coach Mo to think through your data and history use more than simple ones.
A few quick text questions barely move the needle. A long voice conversation that has Mo digging through your competition history can use a noticeable chunk in one go.

Where to see your remaining allowance

Open Coach Mo settings in the app. You’ll find a usage indicator that shows how much of this week’s allowance you’ve used and when it resets. Check it as you go. That’s the most accurate view of where you stand.

What happens when you run out

Coach Mo will tell you you’ve used your weekly allowance and pause new conversations until the next reset. Your conversation history, persona, and Files stay intact. You just need to wait for the reset to keep chatting.

Free vs. Pro

Free users get a small weekly allowance so you can try Coach Mo before deciding to subscribe. Pro users get a much larger weekly allowance, enough for daily check-ins, voice sessions, and ongoing coaching conversations. The exact size of your weekly allowance is shown in your Coach Mo settings.

Contextual insights

Coach Mo can surface contextual insights as inline cards on relevant screens. When you’re viewing a competition, your activity, or your achievements, Coach Mo may offer a quick insight without you opening a conversation.
