Movecoins are reward points. You collect them on the days you move, then trade them for digital gift cards. Movecoins is off until you turn it on. It’s optional, and you can turn it off anytime.

Who can use Movecoins

  • United States only. Movecoins shows up only when your App Store account country is the United States.
  • iPhone only for now. Movecoins is not available on Android yet.
  • Anyone can earn. You can collect coins on any plan.
  • Cashing out needs a paid plan. To trade coins for gift cards you need a paid Membership or Pro subscription. Free trials don’t count. See Cash out for gift cards.
If you don’t see Movecoins anywhere in the app, your App Store account country is probably not the United States.

Where to find it

  • The Rewards tab in the tab bar.
  • Your coin balance at the top right of Home. Tap it to open Movecoins.

How you earn

  • Active days. A day with 7,500 steps or 30 exercise minutes earns coins.
  • Monthly bonuses. Extra coins when you reach 10 and 20 active days in a month.
  • Welcome gift. 50 Movecoins the first time you turn Movecoins on.
  • Referrals. 1,000 Movecoins when a friend you invite is active for 3 days.

What Movecoins are not

Movecoins are not money. They have no cash value, and you can’t buy them, sell them, or move them to another account. A subscription pays for app features. It does not buy coins.

When coins expire

You can use a coin until the end of the 12th month after the month you earned it. For example, coins earned in March 2027 can be used until the end of March 2028. When you cash out, your oldest coins are used first. The app does not show expiry dates, so it’s worth cashing out once you have enough for a card.
