When you are working through a problem in the support chat, support can ask to see your screen. Nothing is shared until you say yes, and you can stop at any time.

Allow a request

1

Review the request

Support sends the request from their side. In MoveTogether you see MoveTogether Support wants to see your screen. If you don’t see it, open the app.
2

Tap Allow

Tap Allow to continue, or Not now to decline.
3

Allow screen recording

iPhone then asks to record your screen. Tap Allow there too.
Only MoveTogether is shared. Other apps on your iPhone are not.
If the request has expired, the app says Couldn’t start screen sharing. The request may have expired. Ask support to send a new one.

While you share

  • A banner in the app reads Support is viewing your screen while support is watching. On Android, a notification also shows while you share.
  • Support can see everything in MoveTogether except your chats, including your rings, health and fitness numbers, competitions, and settings.
  • Your chats are hidden. If you open a chat screen, you see Chats are hidden while you share your screen. Your messages come back when you stop sharing.
  • Support can point and draw on your screen to show you where to tap. Their marks fade after a few seconds.
  • Support can message you during the session. Tap the chat button on the banner to read and reply. Messages there go to support only and aren’t saved.

Stop sharing

Tap Stop on the banner at any time. On Android you can also tap Stop sharing in the notification. Sharing also ends on its own after 30 minutes. If support doesn’t connect after you allow the request, sharing stops and the app says Support didn’t connect, so sharing stopped.

What is kept

Nothing is recorded. The video of your screen, and the messages, pointers, and drawings from the session, are not saved. MoveTogether keeps a record that a session happened: who asked, when it started and ended, and whether you allowed or declined it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
