Ready to challenge your friends? Here’s how to set one up: Step 1: Competition info. Go to the Compete tab and tap +. Give it a fun name, set start and end dates, and choose whether it repeats. Toggle Private on if you only want invited friends to join. Step 2: Scoring method and team mode. Pick how participants earn points: Ring Close Count (points for closing activity rings), Percentage of Goals (points based on goal completion), Raw Numbers (points for every calorie, minute, and step), Step Count (points per step), or Workout Based (points only during specific workout types). Optionally turn on Team Mode and pick 2, 3, or 4 teams. Step 3: Invite friends. Select friends from your list, or skip and invite them after the competition is created. Step 4: Review. Check your competition details and confirm to launch. How scoring works
Once a competition starts, everyone’s activity syncs automatically from their tracker. The leaderboard updates throughout the day. You don’t need to manually log anything. Your score is based on the scoring method picked when the competition was created.Tips for your first competition
- Start with 7 days to get a feel for the pacing.
- Pick Step Count scoring if this is everyone’s first time. It’s the most straightforward.
- Invite 3 to 5 friends. Enough people to feel competitive, but small enough that everyone stays engaged.
- Check the leaderboard daily to stay motivated.
