The daily nudge
- One a day. You get at most one daily nudge, usually around 8 AM your time. If the morning one doesn’t go out, an evening one around 8 PM can take its place.
- A different tone each time. Morning messages can be hype, funny, competitive, or written in Gen Z slang. Evening messages can be a last call, funny, wholesome, or a little passive-aggressive. The tone is picked at random. You can’t choose it.
- No repeats until you’ve seen them all. You won’t get the same message twice until you’ve seen every message in that set. After that, the one you saw longest ago comes back first.
- Your language. Messages come in English, Spanish, French, and German.
The stay-active nudge
If you’re in an active competition and haven’t opened the app or synced for 8 hours or more, you may get a reminder around 2 PM your time. It’s there so your activity reaches the leaderboard. After about a week of these reminders, they come every other day. After about two weeks, they stop.Turn reminders off
- Open Profile and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- Under Daily Reminders:
- Turn off Good morning or Good night to stop the daily nudge. Turning off either one stops it.
- Turn off Stay-active nudges to stop the competition reminder.
Something not right?
- You turned one switch back on, but nudges didn’t return. Both Good morning and Good night need to be on.
- You get no nudges at all. Check both switches, then your phone’s notification permission. MoveTogether also limits how many notifications it sends in a day. See Notification problems.
- A message felt off. Tell us in the in-app support chat, with the date and the message.
