Our community standards

MoveTogether is a supportive fitness community. We ask all users to follow our Community Guidelines:
  • Be respectful. Treat everyone with kindness. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination.
  • Keep it appropriate. All content has to be suitable for all ages.
  • Play fair. No cheating or manipulating fitness data.
  • Prioritize health. Don’t promote dangerous fitness practices.
  • Respect privacy. Don’t share others’ personal information without consent.
  • No spam. No advertising, phishing, or solicitation.

How AI moderation works

AI monitors all user-generated content in the app in real time, including competition group chat messages, direct messages (image moderation), profile photos, and usernames. The AI flags content that includes harassment, hate speech, bullying, explicit or sexual content, threats, spam, or any other violations of our Community Guidelines. Photos that violate guidelines are removed automatically.

Enforcement actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, you may get:
  • Content removal. The specific content is removed with a notification.
  • Warning. A formal warning logged to your account.
  • Temporary suspension. Access restricted for a period, competition scores frozen.
  • Permanent ban. Account terminated for severe violations, not reversible.

Appealing a decision

If you think a moderation action was taken in error, chat with Mo at movetogetherfitness.com and start your message with “Appeal:” followed by why you think the decision was incorrect. The appeal will be reviewed and you’ll get a response within 48 hours. Read the full Community Guidelines at movetogetherfitness.com/community-guidelines.
