Quick fix checklist

  1. Pull down to refresh on a screen showing your fitness data.
  2. Force-close and reopen MoveTogether.
  3. Open your tracker’s companion app and make sure it has synced recently.
  4. Check your internet connection.
  5. Confirm that MoveTogether is on the current version for your platform.
  6. Restart your phone.

iOS: Apple Health and Apple Watch

Review Apple Health permissions for MoveTogether, then check that the Health app has recent activity data. If you use an Apple Watch, let it sync with Apple Health before reopening MoveTogether. For help reviewing permissions, see Connecting your fitness tracker. For Google Health / Fitbit, Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, Strava, Polar, and Ultrahuman:
  1. Open your tracker’s companion app and trigger a manual sync.
  2. Check your connection in MoveTogether: go to Settings → Data Sources and make sure your tracker shows as connected.
  3. If it is paused, use its reconnect option and sign in again. If it offers Disconnect, reconnect after disconnecting. This refreshes authorization.

Android public beta: Health Connect and providers

Open Settings → Data Sources in MoveTogether to review Health Connect or connected-provider status. If Health Connect is connected, review its permissions; if a provider needs attention, reconnect it through Data Sources after confirming that its companion app has synced. Android beta updates are delivered through Google Play. Open the MoveTogether Google Play listing to check for an update.

My workouts sync, but my Exercise ring stays empty

This one isn’t a sync problem. Your workouts are arriving, they’re just not all counting toward Exercise. Exercise minutes feed competition scoring, so they’re reserved for deliberate training:
  • Any workout you record counts. A run, a ride, a strength session, a class. If you started it, it counts.
  • Walks count too, as long as they run at least 15 minutes at a genuine walking pace.
  • Movement your tracker detects on its own doesn’t count. Rings and watches log short bursts of walking through the day without you starting anything. Moving around the house or a few steps between errands isn’t training, and counting it would let someone out-score a person who actually worked out.
That movement isn’t thrown away. It still counts toward your Steps ring and any step-based competition. Only the Exercise ring is affected.
If a workout you definitely did is missing, start the activity in your tracker’s own app before you set off, rather than letting it detect the session afterwards. Your tracker then records your pace and distance, and those minutes land on your Exercise ring. Forgot to start it? Most tracker apps let you add or edit an activity after the fact. That correction syncs to MoveTogether the normal way and counts.

If data still does not appear

Try again after the source provider has completed its own sync. If the problem continues, contact support and include:
  • Your MoveTogether username
  • The data source or tracker you use
  • Your phone model and OS version
  • When the issue started
  • Any error messages you saw
Use the in-app support flow or MoveTogether support for account-specific help.
