What MoveTogether uses
- Account information: your name, email address, username, profile photo, and the account settings you choose.
- Fitness information: activity totals, workouts, goals, and other health metrics you authorize a connected source to provide.
- Competition and social information: scores, rankings, participation history, friendships, posts, and messages needed for the features you use.
- Product diagnostics: app events, masked session replays, crash details, and performance information when you opt in to product analytics.
Connected data
Usage data. If you opt in to app analytics, MoveTogether processes usage events, masked session replay, and diagnostics associated with your persistent account UUID. You can control this in Settings → Privacy Settings. Data from Apple Health and Health Connect is read with your permission. Connected services can provide activity and health metrics through OpenWearables. You can review connections in Settings → Data Sources and revoke on-device health permissions from your phone’s settings. MoveTogether stores the data needed to calculate server-side competition scores, build leaderboards, show activity history, and provide other features. Apple Health, Health Connect, or your wearable provider remains the original source of synced fitness data; MoveTogether does not write changes back to that source.Who can see information
People in a competition can see leaderboard information and the competition details you share. Friends can see activity you share in social features. The exact profile, activity, health-metric, invitation, and discoverability choices are controlled in Settings → Privacy Settings. MoveTogether stores your fitness data on our servers to power the app’s core features: leaderboards, competitions, activity feeds, badges, and more. On iPhone, data can be read from Apple Health. During the Android public beta, data can be read from Health Connect. Other supported trackers sync through OAuth connections using our integration partner, OpenWearables. Competition scores are calculated server-side for security and fairness. Your health data stays in Apple Health, Health Connect, or your tracker’s platform as the original source of truth. MoveTogether reads it. We never modify it.Service providers
MoveTogether uses providers such as Supabase for backend services and OpenWearables for connected wearables. Stream receives user ID, name, avatar, messages, posts, and submitted content for chat and moderation. If you opt in to product analytics, PostHog receives a persistent Supabase account UUID, usage events, masked replays, and crash or performance diagnostics. Competition participants can see your competition-related stats on the leaderboard, subject to your privacy settings. Friends can see your activity in the social feed, subject to your privacy settings. MoveTogether and its service providers process only the data needed to operate features such as scoring, badges, social features, analytics you opt into, and AI coaching. We never sell your personal or health data. For Coach Mo text coaching, insights, and reports, Anthropic receives relevant fitness context, messages, and report data; direct names are placeholders and Coach text prompts do not include your MoveTogether user ID. ElevenLabs receives spoken audio, relevant fitness context, first name, and user ID for Coach Mo voice and Mo support. The authoritative provider list is in our Privacy Policy. Different AI-powered features need different context. For Coach Mo text prompts sent to Anthropic, direct names are replaced with placeholders and your MoveTogether user ID is omitted. Coach voice and Mo support use ElevenLabs and can receive relevant audio or support context together with your first name and user ID. For a provider-by-provider breakdown, see AI and your data.Your controls
