MoveTogether offers four competition formats. Pick whichever matches the rhythm of your group.

Weekend

A short, high-energy challenge that runs Friday at midnight through Sunday at 11:59 PM in each participant’s local time zone. Perfect for first-time competitions or low-commitment fun.

Weekly

Runs Monday through Sunday. The classic format — long enough that one bad day doesn’t sink you, short enough to stay engaged. Most groups settle into a recurring weekly cadence.

Monthly

Runs from the 1st through the last day of the calendar month. Best for long-term consistency and bigger group challenges. Pacing matters more than peak effort.

Custom

Pick any start and end date. Useful for training blocks, vacation challenges, or syncing a competition with a real-world event (race week, holiday push, etc.).

Which should I pick?

  • First time? Weekend.
  • Steady group of friends? Weekly, on repeat.
  • Big group / office wellness? Monthly.
  • Training for something specific? Custom.
All four types use the same points and scoring system — only the date window changes.
