You can delete your MoveTogether account at any time. This is permanent — once it’s done, your activity history, achievements, and Coach Mo conversations are gone and can’t be recovered.

How to delete

  1. Open the MoveTogether app.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm the prompt.
  4. Your account is queued for deletion and removed within 30 days.

What happens to your data

  • Your profile, activity history, achievements, and Coach Mo conversations are deleted from our servers.
  • Any competitions you were a participant in keep the leaderboard intact, but your name is replaced with “Deleted user.”
  • Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.

What’s not deleted by this

  • Your App Store subscription. Cancel it separately through Settings → Subscriptions on your device, or it will keep renewing.
  • Your tracker account. Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, etc. are unaffected.

Before you delete

If you’re just tired of notifications or want to take a break, you can:
  • Turn off all push notifications in Settings → Notifications
  • Leave any active competitions
  • Cancel your subscription but keep your account on Starter
Deletion is final — there’s no “undo” once the 30-day window passes. If you’re unsure, contact support first.
