# Competition issues

> Troubleshooting MoveTogether competition issues — scores not updating, hitting the free 2-competition limit, can't join or create, and wrong-looking scores.

## My score isn't updating

* Check that your tracker is syncing in **Settings → Connected Devices**.
* Pull down to refresh on the competition leaderboard.
* Wait a few minutes. Third-party trackers can take 15 to 30 minutes to sync.
* Make sure the competition is still active. Scores freeze after the end date.

## I can't join a competition

* The competition may have already ended. You can only join active or upcoming competitions.
* You may be at your competition limit. **Free users can only have 2 active competitions.** Upgrade to Pro for unlimited.
* The invite link or code may be invalid. Ask the creator for a new one.
* The competition may be restricted to specific invited users.

## I can't create a competition

* Check your competition limit. **Free users can only have 2 active competitions.**
* Make sure you have a connected tracker in **Settings → Connected Devices**.

## A participant's score seems wrong

All scores are calculated server-side for accuracy. The participant may be using a different tracker that syncs at a different frequency. There may be a temporary sync delay.
