# How badges work

> Every kind of MoveTogether badge in one place: seasonal, streak, achievement, competition, challenge, and referral badges, which are free, where to see them, and how to share one.

A badge is a medal you earn for something you did, like finishing a seasonal event or staying active for 10 weeks in a row. Every medal in MoveTogether is a badge, and they all live on one **Badges** screen. Some kinds are free to earn on every plan. Others need Pro.

## Which badges you can earn on your plan

| **Referrals** | Ringleader: invite a friend who joins and logs 3 active days. See [Referrals](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/account/referrals.md). | Any plan |
| **Streaks** | Stay active 3 days a week for 5, 10, 25, and up to 300 weeks in a row. See [Workout streaks](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/engagement/streaks-shields.md). | Pro |
| **Achievements** | Activity and consistency goals, such as Ring Closer (close all three rings in one day) or Weekend Warrior. | Pro |
| **Competition** | Competition moments: First Blood (win your first competition), Underdog (come from last place to win), and Photo Finish (win by less than 1%). | Pro |

Free and Member plans can still see every badge. You don't earn Streaks, Achievements, or Competition badges while you're not on Pro.

## See your badges

1. Open your profile: tap the **Profile** tab, or tap your photo at the top of **Home**.
2. Find **Badges** and tap **See all** (**See All** on Android).
3. At the top, the seasonal badge grid shows how many of them you've earned.
4. Below it, **Milestones** has one tile per group: **Streaks**, **Achievements**, **Competition**, **Referrals**, and **Challenges**. Each tile shows how many you've earned in that group.
5. Tap a tile to see every badge in that group. Tap a badge to open its details.

If you're not on Pro, a banner under **Milestones** reads **Streaks, Achievements and Competition are Pro**.

## Read a badge's details

* **Earned badges** show the date you earned them.
* **Locked badges** show **Your progress**, such as **7 / 10 weeks**.
* **Pro badges** show **This badge is earned with Pro.** if you're not on Pro.
* **Seasonal Challenge badges** show the pace you earned them at, such as **Earned at Steady pace**.

## When you earn one

A **New badge earned** screen appears with the badge and **How you earned it**. Tap **Awesome** to close it.

Streak badges get their own celebration with **Keep going** and **Share this**.

## Share a badge

1. Open the earned badge from **Profile** > **Badges**.
2. Tap **Share**.
3. Pick an app.

The image shows the badge art, its name, and the date you earned it. If you have an invite link, the message also invites friends to join you. See [Share your wins](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/engagement/sharing-your-wins.md).

## Show a badge on your profile

**iPhone**

Go to **Settings** > **Personal Details** > **Featured badge** and choose one. **Automatic** lets the app pick. To open **Settings**, open your profile and tap the gear icon.

**Android**

Open **Personal Details** from your profile, then **Featured badge**, and pick one of your earned badges.

The featured badge shows near the top of your public profile.

## Something not right?

* **A seasonal badge is missing.** Placement badges arrive after the event ends and final scores are in. Community badges need the shared goal to be reached. See [Join seasonal events](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/engagement/seasonal-events.md).
* **A streak badge is missing.** Streak badges need Pro, and they count weeks, not days. See [Workout streaks](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/engagement/streaks-shields.md).
* **An achievement or competition badge is missing.** These need Pro, and activity from before you started Pro doesn't count toward them.
* **The monthly badge count looks wrong.** See [Your monthly challenge badge](https://docs.movetogetherfitness.com/engagement/monthly-challenges.md).
